Not content on making me green with envy at her awesome quilting skills, she’s now opened Lost In The Woods, a new Etsy store featuring her viewfinder shots  (her fairy houses series will also be up there shortly too!).

As most of you will have figured out by now, I don’t have one particular craft I specialise in (and would never call myself a ’specialist’ in any that I do dabble with!). I’m currently on a bit of an embroidery bent and must admit the only downside I’ve found is how time consuming it is. It might be my beginners slowness but it’s a little disheartening to sew all night only to have filled a couple of leaves as the end result.

This is why I’m absolutely in awe of the work of Australian-based photographer Magdalena Bors, whose work was featured in this recent piece on Design Boom (thanks for the heads up Werty!). Each of her recent series of photographs features a household scene that has been painstakingly transformed into a landscape using everyday objects and always with a human in the shot. My favourites have got to be either the ‘Mountain Vista’ of drawing pins or the button ‘Cavern’. Now that’s a girl with a hell of a lot of patience!
