So, the she’s crafty ball is once more beginning to roll. I bought this URL over 2 years ago when I was caught up in a dream of buying a large disused shop and workshop space in a small village called Aylth. I had grand plans and little experience and thankfully my enthusiasm waned before my finances and sanity were stretched.

However, some things have not faded over the years: I am still trying to find a balance between the number crunching 9-5 and letting the creative animal inside me out to play. I love all arts and crafts – sewing, baking, drawing, painting, sculpting… generally anything that involves making something from scratch.

 These once forgotten crafts have seen a real resurgence in the past few years and I’ll admit I find it both encouraging and intimidating. Yet, it is time to take the plunge. There is no better time than now to use my talents to fill this site with inspiring items and the fruits of my labour.

I will be using this blog to document my progress and recommend fellow crafters I have encountered on my way. I have currently no set launch date for the full site/store and have decided to concentrate on more important things such as building up stock and getting the site up to scratch first.
